Re: Repaint request, some rare B737-200's...

Hello Mike,
Send me a PM with your e-mail. I made the Interair paint, I can send it to you once I'm back home from vacation. I'll be back home from Hurghada next sunday.

SAA Cargo was done by Mariano and should be on flightsim.com. Maybe titled as Safair.

Re: New 737 dome??

Yes, a new dome was introduced with SP3.
In FSX the domes are turned on and off in the alpha-channel of the paint (Black is off, White is On). This should not happen if the original FAIB alpha channel (with necessary modifications) was used for the paint.
I'd suggest contacting the respective painter.

Re: 2 lightmaps for 1 plane

Just to add to the confusion:
The are exemptions - You can NOT do that for the FAIB 737-200 through -500 models, they require their specific lightmaps in each texture folder!

All the Airbus narrow bodies have been delivered after the livery change and therefore all of them carry the new livery.

Re: Question about resizing.

You can just resize it from 2048x2048 to 1024x1024.
However, you will have to change the alpha channel to make it work properly in FS9. And don't forget to add a Lightmap texture for FS9.

Re: Airbus A320 Painting Problem

I don't know if this works, but you might want to try this PSD plugin for Paint.Net:

Re: Airbus A320 Painting Problem

As far as I know Paint.Net supports layers.
Therefore you should be able to turn them off or delete them in the layers list.
However, you should read through all of them first. They're very helpful and prevent silly mistakes ;)

Sorry, I never worked with Paint.Net, only Gimp and Photoshop.

Re: Clarify Pleeze

The only problem.would be the alpha channel.
Texture size and if it's BMP or DDS doesn't matter.

Also worth a note that the paints made for the FS9 FAIB models cannot be used in FSX.

Re: need some help putting ai traffic in fsx

You'll either have to copy the aircraft files over to the FSX Simobjects folder, or add a path to the FS9 folder in the FSX.cfg.

In AIFP you could use substitute and then click Select in the top, so you can choose a folder.
I think that should work.

That'sad :(
Especially the SP needs a new mode - the old FSP/PAI model is really outdated

Re: Short Nozzle listing?

That's correct, Tom.

Though I think all the new ones got these. On the other hand all the older 737 (with CFM 56-7B engines) can be retrofitted with the new CFM 56-7BE engines and all the other PIP features.

Re: SWA Satcomm aircraft

Seems that none of the SWA B737s have the Satcomm model designated (winglets_SN) in either FSX or FS9. Is this an error or on purpose? Even the Canyon Blue Satcomm N494WN doesn't have the winglets_SN model designated. Steve Lewis The SN model is the "Short nozzle" model with a shorter eng...
