Logolight LH 737-300

#1 Post by Kalorien »

Hello,

I downloaded the basepack 737-300 (logolight, normal and winglet). I installed the pack into an Aifolder of FSX. The repaint by Juergen Baumbusch Lufthansa, linked to avsim, has some kind of problem. I want to use the logolight version, but as soon as the aircraft does a pushback the tail disappears.
The normal version works, but the passenger windows are not lightened. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a known problem.
Using the logolight in the Extra folder doesn´t make a difference.

Sounds like you are missing a lightmap for the paint.
The FAIB 737-200,300,400 and 500 still require a lightmap for every paint or issues like you describe happen.
I would also advice against getting any of Juergen's paints from any source but his official website(http://www.juergenbaumbusch.de/) where you will find the most update versions of his paints.

Hello,

thank you for your answer. I just tested the 737-500 version for Lufthansa (Juergen Baumbusch) and that one is fine. At pushback the lights are going on and the taxi nosewheel light is also going with the direction of the aircarft. Very nice!

Sorry, I don´t know anything about lightmapping (no photoshop here and gimp is too hard). Is there another way to fix it? If not, I would make a note about the not working logolight version for the 733! I was testing almost the whole day! That´s annoying.

Looking at Juergen´s website wasn´t successful, because the aircraft is simply not there. You only find it on avsim. But I like his repaints very much! The 747-8 is a beauty.

No need for photoshop/gimp just make sure you have a FAIB_737_300_L.bmp or FAIB_737_300_L.dds file in the repaint folder.

I tested both versions, normal bmp and 32 bit bmp. The tail disappears after startup. faib_b733_lufthansa_fsx.zip @ avsim. Or is it the basepack? I don´t know, because I only used the basepack for that particular aircraft till now.

Do you have a FAIB_737_300_AlwaysOn_L.bmp or FAIB_737_300_AlwaysOn_L.dds file in your main FSX texture folder?

I have both of them in the FSX\Texture folder.
because I only used the basepack for that particular aircraft till now
I mean, I didn´t test the basepack all alone. I tested always the combi with the LH painting. There are no roll-out logolight textures in the basepack. Aren´t they required to see?

Btw. opening the light map paint kit seems to be flipped. Is that ok?

Hello again,

well, finally I made my first paint. I would like to know how it looks like for you experts. Are you interested in a Boeing 737-300 V3 Lufthansa Karlsruhe? If so, please make a note here, where to send the files for checking. If it is good enough, maybe we can prepare it for everybody. Right now, I only have the FSX version.
Best regards
Peter

Hi Peter, please ask over the AIG forum (where many people will see you message) if any one would like to beta test your paint.
