Will there be any attempt to recompile models for FS2020 or will that be left to other users to do on their own?

If other users would perform such conversions they are forbidden from distributing them according to the terms of the EULA.
FS2020 models will hopefully be coming in the future but not before the full P3D PBR conversions are complete since they shares many graphical aspects with FS2020.

Is that what you’ve been working on? If so, excellent, I, and likely many others, are waiting patiently for both to be finished and released.
