JT9D-70A 747-200
Hi, one question I have is why the JT9D-70A variant of the 747-200 was never made, and if it's ever a possibility? I know it was very rare for it to be mounted on 747s, but one in particular was passed around to quite a few airlines.
Re: JT9D-70A 747-200
It is very rare and as a result it is quite difficult to get high res closeup picture of the engine nacelles, this among other reasons is why it was omitted.
I might add it eventually.

Wow, that was quite the fast response, ewerber. As for the finding high res pics if you ever decide to create it, a simple google search of the JT9D-70A brings up some good shots of it, and POSKY has a 747-200 model with the engines as another point of reference. But I must say, keep up the great work, I honestly find your models higher quality than some freeware planes intended to be flown.
Re: JT9D-70A 747-200
Sorry to necro this topic, but if a JT9D-70A re engine is still on the table for something to be released, I learned that visually it is identical to the JT9D-59A engines on the DC-10-40 and A300, as they were all meant to use the same cowl. Any references from those planes should be sufficient, only difference I can think of would be the pylons, but there’s plenty of pictures of those.

The 70A will be added with the next 747 Classic service pack.
